UKRI Pre-announcement: resilient UK coastal communities and seas Network Plus

Apply for funding to develop a Network Plus to enhance the resilience, health and wellbeing of UK coastal communities and seas. The network will provide a coordinating function across projects funded through the complimentary resilient UK coastal communities and seas research programme.

This network will be funded by ESRC, AHRC, Defra, NERC and UKRI.

You must be based at a UK research organisation eligible for UKRI funding.

The full economic cost (FEC) of your network can be up to £2 million. We will fund 80% of the FEC.  UKRI’s total fund for this call is £2 million.

The funded network will be expected to:

  • generate insights, enhance community knowledge mobilisation, and improve resilience in coastal communities and the management of UK coastal areas and seas
  • build new transdisciplinary capability
  • enable a coherent and connected UK coastal research landscape across disciplines, stakeholders, and sectors
  • inform policy, practice and understanding

Your network must start on 1 April 2024 and last up to 54 months.

This is a pre-announcement and the information may change.
