MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships 2023 Call Webinar Series & Drop-In Surgery 9th June

Registration is open for the UKRO information webinar series on the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowships 2023. The deadline for this call is 4.00 pm UK time on 13 September 2023.

These webinars will be held on 6, 8 and 9 June and they aim to provide potential applicants with the information necessary to understand the nature of the call and to submit a successful application.

The MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships help researchers to advance their careers and gain new skills through training, intersectoral and international mobility, with the ultimate goal of improving their long-term career prospects both within and outside of academia.

The sessions are aimed at researchers and other staff in UK academic and non-academic organisations, including industry and SMEs, who are interested in the call as a host organisation or potential supervisor. It is also intended for researchers from the UK, Europe and beyond who intend to apply to the call with a UK host institution.

  • Session 1: Overview and Eligibility Rules, 6 June (10:00 – 11:30 UK time)
    This session will provide a detailed overview of the scheme along with the eligibility conditions, including what constitutes a re-submission. Current MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship grantee, Dr Olga Mikheeva from University College London, will share her experience.
  • Session 2: Practical Matters, 8 June (10:00 – 11:30 UK time)
    This session will provide attendees with a comprehensive overview of the practical aspects of developing an application, such as how to address the gender dimension in research projects, dissemination, and integration in the host environment. The session will also go through the financial aspects of the grant in more detail.
  • Session 3: Process for Submission and Evaluation9 June (10:00 – 11:30 UK time) The final session will provide participants with a comprehensive overview of the submission and evaluation processes, including how to encode the placement and secondment hosts.

All sessions will include a short Q&A and prospective applicants are strongly encouraged to attend all three sessions.

The webinars are organised by UKRO in its capacity as UK NCP for the Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions.

MSCA Drop-In Surgery, Old Library Building,  13:00-15:00 9th June

Following the final webinar on 9th June, there will be a drop-in surgery held in the Old Library Building 2.29 between 13:00-15:00 for colleagues who would like to discuss any queries regarding their application.
