Faculty Research Fund
The Faculty Research Fund is now open for applications. All career stages of staff are encouraged to apply for funding, whether early-career, mid-career or established academic colleagues, however please note that the likely significance of an award to the career development of the applicant is a factor in the assessment. Applications are welcomed for both work leading to an application for external funding (the Faculty’s Bid Preparation Fund should be used where the application will exceed £250k) and funding to generate a significant output. Demand for this fund is extremely high, no more so than in the last round when only one in six applications was successful, and school support is an important factor when reviewing applications.
Full guidance and application forms are available here. Applications should be submitted to nubs.research@ncl.ac.uk by 17:00 on Monday 6th November. Please ensure you have discussed your proposed costings with the research team prior to submission on 6th November; failure to do so may result in your application not being put forward to Faculty for funding.
