New online training from The Conversation launched

As part of our membership of The Conversation, we now have access to four new, self-paced, online training courses for academics, covering:

  • The Conversation: Who we are and how we work with academics
  • How to write for The Conversation
  • How to pitch to The Conversation
  • Writing for Insights

The courses aim to help academics understand how The Conversation works, the editorial support it provides, and to develop the skills to write for non-academic audiences.

The courses are being mapped to Vitae’s researcher development framework and therefore can contribute to the professional development of academics of all levels, while supporting them as they take their first (or second) steps towards engaging with the media.

You can find more information in the attached document and explore the courses here.

As ever, the press office is always on hand to provide additional support and we are always happy to talk to academics about how best to get their research into the public domain.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
