Call for Papers – TeachECONference2024

The Centre for Teaching and Learning Economics (CTaLE) connect economics educators from around the world through shared interests in teaching and learning, online education practice and research-focused seminars and our flagship conference.

We are delighted to share the Call for Papers for TeachECONference2024. Now in its fifth year, our free virtual conference has become a key point in the calendar for many economics educators.

We would like to enlist your help in sharing this call with friends and colleagues from the world of economics education.

Call for Papers

Submit a proposal for a 10-minute presentation on any topic that you think will be of interest to a global audience of post-secondary economics educators. You can see from prior conferences that our attendees are interested in the sharing of lessons learned from lived experiences. This can include topics that relate to what happens in the classroom (off- or online), your perspectives on assessment, how you approach student support, and resilience in economics education. We are looking for proposals that provide practical insights on how to take an idea forward and learn from the experience of trying something new, whether it went according to plan or not. We want to know about what you did, why you did it, and what impact it had (or is having if it is a current initiative). If you are submitting a project that includes an empirical analysis of an economics education initiative, we provide extra space for you to explain your data and methodology.

The Conference Committee will select papers to be presented live on the conference days or to be premiered via our YouTube channel as part of the online video-poster sessions that will run on the week beginning June 17.  To submit please follow this link. Proposals are due February 23, 2024, at 11:45pm GMT/6:45pm EST.
