Site Visit to the Driving the Electric Revolution Industrialisation Centre (DER-IC) 21 March 2024

Transport from campus there and back will be available (leaving around 9.30 and back at the University at 12.30).

The leads on DER-IC are keen to build relationships with researchers from our Faculty and get us more involved in their activities.  As a first step we’re setting up a visit to the DER-IC site in Sunderland so we can get a better sense of the opportunities.

While at DER-IC, we’ll have the chance to get to know the site and the facilities,  meet the people leading DER-IC and have time to try to capture some first thoughts on the kinds of opportunities we’re seeing.  If you are interested and would like to attend please let Lorraine Smith (Lorraine.smith@ncl.ac.uk) know by Monday 4th March.  Due to limits on space, places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

If you are unable to attend on the day, but are keen to get involved, please get in touch so we can register your interest for future events and opportunities in this area.

You can read more about Newcastle University’s central  role on the DER-IC project here.
