Abstract:

Publication in internationally recognised journals has never been easy, but with average acceptance rates reportedly standing at typically between 5-10%, it has become increasingly difficult. Competition for publication space is high and submissions often face desk rejection and most fail to passthrough the first round. So, how do we transform our research into papers that will make an editor’s eyes light up? This workshop is for sharing ideas, insights and solutions to the common problems that we all encounter in the editorial process. What coping strategies can help us overcome these seemingly insurmountable barriers? How can we tailor our papers and submission letters to make them stand out from the crowd? The workshop addresses the challenges that budding—and even practised—researchers face.
