ESRC Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) Funding Calls Now Open

The ESRC Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) has launched two new funding calls:
  • The Responsive Impact Fund (RIF) is targeted, time-responsive funding for small grants (up to £1,000) to support impact activities. This is a rolling call with no fixed deadline.
  • The Scaling Impact Fund (SIF) is designed to help researchers deepen, strengthen and scale the non-academic impacts of their social science research. Awards of up to £6,000 are available. This is a competitive, open funding call which follows a two-stage application process. Please complete a short Expression of Interest (EOI) online form stating your interest in this funding call before the 12th November 2026 deadline.
Please note: Given the stage we are at in the ESRC IAA award period and the remaining budget available, this funding call is likely to be the final large-scale open call, subject to demand. We therefore encourage researchers to take this into account when considering whether to apply. While smaller opportunities may arise, we cannot guarantee that another open call of this scale will be available in the future.
