Dean’s All School Welcome Presentation
On 6 September 2022, the new Dean of Newcastle University Business School, Professor Stewart Robinson, delivered an all School meeting.
In the meeting, Professor Robinson:
- introduced himself and his journey to becoming Dean of NUBS;
- provided some personal perspectives on Business Schools;
- shared his initial observations about NUBS;
- looked at how we can move forward and start conversations;
- set out the next steps.

As discussed in the meeting, in order to better understand individual views on the position of the School, Stewart is asking everyone to spend a few minutes completing this short, anonymised survey. There are just six questions, each requiring a single answer. The survey will form a School-wide Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats analysis, plus two further questions on what needs to be improved and what makes us distinctive.
The survey has been set up on Microsoft Form and is only accessible to people within the University, so you will need to log in with your University accounts. This should automatically happen if you are logging on from your work laptop/computer. If not logging on from one of these devices, staff can use their University login (eg npc96@newcastle.ac.uk) and password to access.
