Hope into Action: Social Sciences Impact Conference 2023

Call for contributions open!

Now more than ever, social scientists are playing a crucial role in making sense of the world around us and offering hope for the future. This two-day conference (20-21 March, St Anne’s College, Oxford) will celebrate engaged and impactful social sciences research, and provide inspiration and support for researchers hoping to create change for the better through their work.

We are seeking contributions to a programme of plenary sessions, workshops, panel discussions, skills sessions and case studies to encourage the sharing of best practice examples, practical guidance, inspiration, ideas and tips. Individual and group/team applications are welcome, as are diverse experiences from both academic and non-academic settings.

We would love to hear from you if:

  • you have experience of engaging with non-academic audiences
  • you have already successfully created impact
  • you are on the journey to impact but have not quite arrived yet
  • you have published on the topic of impact and engagement, theory or practice
  • you have provided professional support for impact and engagement activities

Deadline: 5pm, 30 November 2022
