Social Media Advocacy Project

As part of the research and reputation campaign, the Marketing Team has launched a new employee advocacy project to help bolster the University’s reputation and enhance our global profile via social media.

What is it?

Social media advocacy is the sharing of positive news about a business by its people. Examples can include:

  • Sharing a recruitment post for a job opening in your department
  • Posting about one of the University’s latest campus developments
  • Sharing posts about the experiences you have working at the University
  • Posting company-developed content to engage and discuss certain research topics or themes.

What does this mean for me?

So that we can amplify the reach of good news stories from the Business School (NUBS) we’re piloting a NUBS-specific arm of this project and would like you to find out more by joining a training session specifically for Business School staff.

Sharing research news and key developments that the University and its staff are spearheading not only helps recognise and celebrate the achievements of your colleagues, but it can also help to build your personal profile and establish you as a thought leader in Higher Education.

How do I find out more?

All you need to do is register for a NUBS training session, which will take approximately 30 minutes of your time. After that you will be provided with a weekly email of freshly curated content to share with your social networks if you wish to.

You can choose the stories, pictures and videos you want to share, and which are most relevant to your own networks.

Participation is voluntary, you can opt in or opt out at any time.
