Chinese Names pronunciation workshop: LRC

The Language Resource Centre is now offering Chinese name pronunciation workshops.

 

This interactive workshop will introduce the cultural background to Chinese names, introduce Chinese Pinyin and its use for pronunciation of Chinese words. It will demonstrate how to tackle unfamiliar sounds, and to learn how to use Pinyin as a tool to pronounce Chinese names correctly or as close as possible to their authentic forms.

If you are unable to attend in-person or the sessions currently scheduled – please get in touch with us via language.resource@ncl.ac.uk. The LRC will be able to arrange bespoke sessions for small groups and further sessions will be scheduled throughout the year.
