Dr Amy Proctor and Dr Beth Clark designed a problem-based learning session for students of Sustainability in Practice – a new shared module for Agriculture, Earth and Environment, and Applied Social Sciences Cluster (AESSC) students. In this session, students will use AI tools to generate solutions to food insecurity, and evaluate them critically.
As part of the Agriculture, Earth and Environment, and Applied Social Sciences Cluster (AESSC) Curriculum Redesign Project within SNES, we have developed virtual tours of NU Farms using H5P. These virtual tours provide an immersive experience during Open Days, familiarise students and colleagues with the farms prior to field trips, and enrich fieldwork activities.
This collaborative project supported instructor’s adoption of the Transparency in Learning and Teaching (TILT) framework to help structure and communicate their assessments.
The aim of this project was to produce an online lab health and safety package to support students from Biomedicine, Sports and Nutrition. Academic staff were finding it difficult to monitor student engagement with the module handbook and lab code of conduct and wanted to have a more standardised approach to ensure that all students are aware of and complying with health and safety requirements in the lab.

Professional engineers use physical logbooks to document and record their work, from thoughts, design ideas, calculations and sketches, through to literature readings and lab results. For ENG1002, Sustainable Design Creativity and Professionalism, we created an electronic version of this logbook using a Microsoft OneNote Class Notebook.
